VASER® liposuction is a minimally invasive form of permanent fat tissue removal. This innovative method uses ultrasound technology that liquefies the fatty tissue. VASER® liposuction makes sense if you are affected by annoying fat deposits that you cannot get rid of through exercise or a healthier diet and want a procedure that is as gentle on the tissue as possible. Another advantage is the significantly lower risk of swelling and bruising, which occur more frequently after classic liposuction.
Unlike classic liposuction, more precise body contouring is possible thanks to VASER® liposuction. For example, depending on the percentage of body fat, certain muscle groups can appear much more athletic. VASER liposuction is a minimally invasive treatment after which no disturbing scars remain.

During a personal consultation, we inform you about the procedure and possible risks of the treatment. In addition, we will rule out any contraindications during a preliminary examination and, if necessary, suggest alternative treatment options.
You should refrain from taking blood-thinning medication for about 2 weeks before the procedure. It is also advisable to refrain from smoking before as well as after the treatment, as this can lead to wound healing problems.
Depending on the findings, VASER® liposuction can also be performed on an outpatient basis and under twilight sleep. On the day of treatment, we mark the areas of the body to be treated and disinfect the corresponding area. After we have made minimal skin incisions, we use suction cannulas to permanently remove the fat cells.
Depending on the findings and the size of the procedure, you may be able to leave our clinic shortly after the treatment. We recommend a 3-day rest period. You should refrain from sunbathing and sauna visits for 2 weeks, and from sports activities for 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the type of sport. Depending on the treated area, you will receive compression garments, which you should wear for 6 weeks.
Minor bruising and temporary swelling after VASER® liposuction are normal reactions of the body to the procedure and should not worry you. Redness at the injection sites is possible for a few months. In general, symptoms are much milder with this option than with traditional liposuction.
