After weight loss or even pregnancy, sagging areas of skin may remain, which do not recede. Likewise, as we age, the skin loses elasticity and begins to sag in certain areas of the body. Due to a genetically determined weak connective tissue, skin sagging is also possible at a young age. In many cases, surgical skin tightening is then necessary. Depending on the findings, however, there is also the possibility of tightening the tissue without disturbing scars.

Renuvion® treatment represents a revolutionary form of skin tightening, which is minimally invasive and therefore scar-saving. This method uses helium plasma, generating very high temperatures for a fraction of a second, resulting in active shrinkage or contraction of the skin and connective tissues.

Renuvion® skin tightening can be used on its own - for example on the abdomen - but is often used in combination with the innovative form of liposuction, VASER® high definition liposuction. After removal of the fatty tissue, plasma energy is used to tighten the tissue from the inside. Of great advantage is the selective treatment option, which spares the surrounding tissue. Skin tightening using Renuvion® is always advisable when sagging areas of skin are to be treated that lead to a disturbed overall aesthetic impression for those affected. Provided that the findings do not exceed a certain level, invasive surgical skin tightening, which is often associated with long scars, can be dispensed with and treatment with Renuvion® can be effective.
Treatment with Renuvion® makes it possible to feel better again, both physically and psychologically, without having to put up with unsightly scars. Especially in combination with liposuction, skin tightening with Renuvion® is an effective additional treatment option.

At best, you should refrain from taking blood-thinning medications 2 weeks before the procedure, after consulting with the attending physician. Come to the appointment sober and do not apply cream to the area to be treated beforehand.
In combination with liposuction, liposuction is performed first. In the case of VASER® liposuction, twilight sleep is sufficient in many cases - for larger treatment areas we recommend a general anaesthetic. Small skin incisions are then made and the fat cells to be removed are loosened by ultrasound. The fat cells are then removed with a suction cannula.
After liposuction, the corresponding area is treated with helium plasma. Very high temperatures are generated for a fraction of a second, which lead to active shrinkage or contraction of the skin and connective tissue. The treatment with Renuvion® itself takes about 30min, depending on the region.
After the treatment you can leave our clinic. If combined liposuction was performed, you can return to your usual daily routine after a few days of physical rest. If Renuvion® skin tightening alone was performed, you will be ready to return to work more quickly.
Renuvion® treatment is considered to be low risk. You are in experienced hands with our team of doctors, so you do not have to fear any major complications. Slight redness or hematomas are possible, but these should subside after a few days.
